ReservationsReservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Booking early ensures you can get the time and date you desire. A deposit and execution of a "Charter Agreement" is required to reserve your time. We take checks or major credit cards for the deposit:
- $200 Deposit for sunset and half day charters
- $400 Deposit for full day charters
- $100 additional deposit required if you have ordered food
- 25% for multi-day sailing vacation charters
Full payment for the charter is due prior to the charter start time. Cash or checks are preferred for the balance due for both for the charter and crew (you pay the crew directly upon completion of their engagement). Payment by credit card can be arranged in advance, there is a 3% surcharge to cover card processing fees. Come by for a visit and check out the boat before you book, if you like.
Refund/Cancellation PolicyOnce you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rebooking are allowed up to 7 days prior to the charter. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and rebook at least 7 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of your deposit.
Weather Related CancellationsNow & Zen is safe, stable, and provides amble protection from the weather. It can be sailed comfortably under normal conditions which include a chance of an afternoon thunder storm, occasional showers, cloudy, or windy weather. A windy day can be fun and exciting; imagine moving through the water at 10 MPH on wind power while hardy rocking or heeling. Because you are chartering Now & Zen on a demise agreement there are no weather related deposit refunds except for the issuance of a named storm (hurricane) watch that coincides with the charter time. You can choose to use the vessel at the dock or we will work with you to adjust the hours to maximize the best weather conditions. Deposits can be applied to another charter within the calender year or six months, which ever is longer.
If you do not want to hire a pre-qualified Captain, please request our “Sailing Resume Form” for yourself or provide us with the resume of the Captain you intend to hire. Reservations are not accepted until after we have approved the resume of the intended skipper and received a security deposit check.
